Had a gullywasher of a thunderstorm last night, and after midnight when it had all gone away and was tossing lightning over the hills far to the north, Himself went outside to look for downed branches, etc.
He heard something crying, and came back for the flashlight; a few minutes later he returned with THIS
-which had come running to him when he called. She's about 3-4 weeks old, just starting to get teeth, and from all we can tell in pretty good health - she's eating, squalling, and squirming like a champ.
#1 Granddaughter thinks her name is Kisa, which when Googled means an amazing number of things in an amazing number of languages - and funny how many of them apply to this little girl!
Is she staying here? Oh, yes, of course she is, just call us the Crazy Cat People...

Well we know she'll be in good hands. I think word must be out on the lost kitten grapevine which tells them where to go!!
What a precious gift the storm gave you! Adorable.
Jane- I think we have "kitty hobo sign" painted on our gate... :-D
Elizabeth - we think so too! We've been a couple of years without a "baby". Last night she started playing "get the finger grr grr" with Himself, and made her first "spit" - surprised herself so much she almost fell off his lap. We've MISSED having a baby! :-D
I bet she'll love you forever for rescuing her. They DO remember, you know.
Elmsley - She should fit in just perfect with all the other rescues here. Though of course they're all jealous at the moment that she's getting kittymilk!
